It’s heartbreaking how DNA can bind us to people who don’t always have our best interests at heart. Writing has always been my passion, with crinkled notebooks tucked away in boxes—each page filled with dreams and ideas. Before cellphones, computers, and digital memos, we had to put pen to paper and let our thoughts flow. Through the years, life always seemed to place something before my passion. We hesitated, worrying about critiques, doubting ourselves.
